Short films showing at Friedman Benda Gallery

From February 25 through April 6, the Friedman Benda Gallery in Chelsea is showing a three short films I made in collaboration with the visionary architect Lebbeus Woods. The films, which will run on a continuous loop (10 minutes long) include “Tunnel Homes” (1989), a short documentary about a community of squatters in a train tunnel under Riverside Park, and “Timesquare” (1989), based on Woods’ design for an urban utopia on the same site. They’re  part of an exhibition of Woods’ early drawings, which are fantastic — really worth seeing.  I’ll be at the reception on Wednesday March 7 from 6 – 8 pm — drop in if you’re free!  It’s at 515 W. 26th St.   More on the exhibition and a press release here.
