Gone: The Forgotten Women of Ohio

Project Details

This eight-part documentary series directed by Academy Award nominee Joe Berlinger investigates the mysterious disappearances of six young women from the small rust-belt town of Chillicothe, Ohio. What begins as the hunt for a serial killer, becomes a mind-bending journey into the underworld of heroin and sex trafficking that is devouring America’s heartland. Our investigative team discovers that local police use addicts as informants but often fail to protect them from the retribution of ruthless drug traffickers. These young women have been victimized twice: first by their dealers, and again by the criminal justice system that’s supposed to protect them. As Series Producer, I worked with Berlinger, Executive Producer Catharine Park, and colleagues at Radical Media to create this eight-hour series for Spike.
